What you will be doing:
The Inside Sales Account Manager is responsible for supporting Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and managing day-to-day relationships with dealers, distributors, resellers, and channel partners. This role serves as a key link between the field sales team, distribution network, customers, and internal departments to ensure opportunities are followed up on, orders are processed accurately, and customers receive responsive and effective support.

What your primary responsibilities will be:
  • Provide daily inside sales support to Regional Sales Managers and their assigned territories.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for dealers, distributors, resellers, and channel partners for sales and account-related needs.
  • Support RSMs with customer follow-up, opportunity management, quotations, pricing requests, and sales administration.
  • Respond promptly to customer and dealer inquiries regarding products, pricing, availability, orders, and delivery status.
  • Prepare and process sales quotations, purchase orders, sales orders, and related documentation.
  • Coordinate with distributors and dealers to support orders.
  • Monitor open orders, backorders, inventory availability, and expected delivery dates.
  • Follow up on leads, quotes, opportunities, and customer requests to help drive sales growth.
  • Maintain accurate customer, dealer, distributor, and opportunity information within the CRM.
  • Track sales activity, open opportunities, quotations, and account activity.
  • Generate sales reports, account summaries, pipeline reports, and other sales analysis as needed.
  • Assist RSMs in preparing for customer meetings, business reviews, sales calls, and account planning.
  • Support distributor and dealer promotions, pricing programs, rebates, special pricing, and other channel initiatives.
  • Help identify opportunities to expand sales within existing dealer and distributor accounts.
  • Assist in resolving customer complaints, order discrepancies, shipping issues, and other account concerns.
  • Communicate product availability, lead times, pricing changes, and other important information to customers and the sales team.
  • Maintain a high level of product and industry knowledge to effectively support customers and RSMs.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

What you will need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in inside sales, account management, sales support, customer service, or sales operations.
  • Experience supporting outside/territory sales teams preferred along with working with distributors, dealers, resellers, or channel partners.
  • Experience in surveillance systems, security equipment, electronics, networking, SaaS, or related technology industries preferred.
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with RSMs and cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable working with CRM, ERP, Microsoft Office, Excel, and other sales systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to understand pricing, inventory, sales orders, and distributor/dealer programs.
  • Positive, proactive, and team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, growing technology environment.

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time if needed.
  • May be required to stand for long periods of time.
  • Constantly operates a computer and possibly other work-related machinery.
  • Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing, or rotation of the wrist(s) and spine including repetitive motions.
  • Constantly receiving detailed information through oral communication.
  • Constant talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas by means of verbal communication.
  • Constant clarity of vision at near and/or far distances.
  • May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and noise levels.
  • May be required to travel up to 50% of the time dependent on the role.
